If your not farmiliar with Nike's Original Run series it's basically a series of mixes aimed to help you stay motivated during your workout/run/training etc. They start off slow, buildup, hit the climax and take you back down. Kind of like how a dj should take you through a night at the club. Previous mixes were done by A-Trak, LCD Soundsystem, Cassius, Aesop Rock just to name a few. "For years Terry Lee Brown Jr. has been considered as a member of the international elite of House producers, and like no other, he has developed the subgenre Tech-House. In the USA and England his first two albums became successes of note and the media got a surprise when they found out Mr. Brown is actually a German.

Terry Lee Brown Jr, alias Norman Feller, began DJing in 1989 and soon thereafter released his first tracks on vinyl under various pseudonyms. 1994 was the turning point for Norman when he decided to dedicate himself totally to music In the following year he invented the house-oriented project (alter-ego) Terry Lee Brown Jr. which allowed him to create his own sound. Plastic City, which was at that time still a very young label, offered Terry an outlet for his music and he has stayed true to this label ever since.

After the success of his first 12″ releases came his debut Album Brother For Real in spring of 1996. This release was a true milestone for Tech-House and incorporated elements of Jungle, Trance and Easy Listening. The public response to Brother For Real was gigantic, and not limited to scenesters. Muzik (12/96), England’s most respected dance music magazine chose Brother For Real as one of the top ten albums of 1996 (along with albums from artists like DJ Shadow, Fugees, Underworld and Faithless). These mixed CDs once again found resonance in the music press and received rave reviews from Muzik, Urb, XLR8R and other national and international magazines. But the story doesn’t end there. Remixes from TLB Jr. of such artists as Gabrielle (Rise), Nalin & Kane (Talkin’ About), Louise (Let’s Go Round Again), Paul Van Dyk (For An Angel), Paris Red (Love Hurts), and Future Funk (Music Takes You High) secured his reputation as a true Remix-Artist.

The third and latest album From Dub Til Dawn is a product of two years work and continues the tradition of Terry’s genre-bending House-sound. Just admit it. Lasers are the coolest shit on earth. So cool that they're taking the limelight away from fireworks this year. Fireworks were soo 2007 anyway.

You can NOT miss this years Pittsburgh Regatta because for the first time ever the Fireworks show at the end of the night will have Lightwave's lasers incorporated into the mix. Resulting in the most bad ass light show ever to be witnessed!

If the lasers aren't reason enough to come to the Regatta. The music is gonna be off the chain with Dj's Zimmie and Nugget holding it down on the Clemente Bridge from 5-7pm. Can't forget Bonics from 7 to 9:30.

So....I was almost in a tornado. Or so I thought. It started out with a cool looking cloud that I decided to take a picture of. Then five seconds later that cloud turned into another totally different looking one. Then it got SOOO windy. Then the tornado sirens started going off(ok wtf). Then it stopped. Then it rained for a second. Then the sun came out. Then it got dark. Done.

(8:48pm) Oh hey, a cool cloud. I'll take a picture.

(8:53pm)WTF cool cloud! You turned not cool.

(8:58pm)I couldnt take pictures of the 100mph winds or the tornado sirens blazing. This was the after math though.

All of this happened within less than 10 minutes witch was kinda strange. I'm not sure if an actually tornado touched down in the area, but it sure felt like it could have.

This morning I found this little guy in the bushes in front of my house...well i guess it's not so little. It's probably the second biggest turtle I've ever seen, next to the gigantic ones I saw in a Florida zoo once which you could ride. How this thing ended up at my house is beyond me...

Btw this thing was laying eggs! I wonder how long it takes for them to hatch..

This weekend Jesse and I where on the Chicago and Detroit stops of the Ghostland Observatory tour. It was my first time in the windy city and after this trip it won't be my last.

The show on Friday was at the legendary Metro. Sold out! Place was packed beyond belief.

Laser, check! Lights, check! Circle Jerk, check!

My camera doesn't capture the lasers to well..You get the idea though.

The show went great! The crowd was feeling it for sure. The next morning we were off to The Motor City. None of my pictures from Detroit came out to well though. Here's a video of Friday from my phone.

This weekend I stopped by Secret Element to check out how my buddies soon to be rotary powered Miata is coming along. They finished welding up the front cross member and are currently working on the motor mounts. I'm pretty sure they plan to debut the car at Hyperfest in June.

In the last couple of days I realized just how much I HATE to daily my car. I'm thinking of putting it on the back burner...What's that? Pull my head out of my ass and raise it up? I don't think so..

Playing with the point and shoot...I've wanted to photograph this wall for a while now and I think only 1 of the 20 pictures I took of it came out half decent.

While everyone was rocking out to The Roots last night I was busy replacing the shot wheel bearings and axles on the s13. Fun.

Thanks to Danny from PG I scored some Circuit Sports rear spindles that I mated with some new bearings.

Note the difference..

Everything was going fine until I put on the new hubs and realized that they weren't going to work with my z32 brakes(well just the e-brake).

The Circuit Sports spindles are alot thicker than the stock ones. Thick enough to hit on all of the e-brake components!

Old. OK. Yea. Good, great, grand!

New...Fail.

So much for an e-brake! I just removed the whole assembly from the upright. I think I'll just downgrade to s14 rear calipers. The z32 rears were a little much anyway. Other than that, AWESOME. No more wobbly wheels.

We just picked up this bad boy for 25 bucks! It's an Arctic Cat Lynx from the early 70's! It sports a pimp ass leopard print seat and a fluorescent green speedo.

Surprisingly this thing actually has a little get up and go. Not sure if the previous owner tweaked it at all, but I wasn't able to top it out in my yard which is pretty big.

I can't keep anything nice. Not even for a day. I waste everything.

First I hit an unavoidable ice chunk on the freeway on my way to work that blows my bumper off. Wait, no. It wouldn't just blow the bumper off. It has to break the welds on the metal brackets too!!

Then..I decided to play a game of dominoes with 3 deer on Friday. I kinda felt bad for them. If they would have done more damage I would have to reconsider that though.

Whatever. The car is getting a makeover in a month anyway.

So since I've moved I managed to get my car back on the road again..Well I didn't want to but I had to in able to get to work and back. I took over my moms garage and filled it with paint fumes for a couple days. The car is by no means finished, but at least drivable.

The last thing I wanted to do was drive this car in the winter. The salt has already taken its toll in just a few days. Oh well..
